No gold placer area is productive forever. Finding those really rich spots with loads of gold is done though research. I did a bunch of research and explored around to see what I could find. Not every guess was a good one but after exploring and prospecting, I found a new nugget patch. My research has really paid off - I've got more than 40 grams of new gold now and some of it is nice sized nuggets. If you do it right, your research can pay off too. I'm using the GPZ 700 metal detector by Minelab to hunt my gold.
