A summary of the changes that's happening at Malifaux 2nd Edition:
New Henchmans/Enforcers
Enforcers - 1 upgrade
Henchman - can use soulstones, lead crew less than 21ss, 2 upgrades
Masters - 3AP, 3 upgrades, can use soulstones
Minions
Peons (totems)
Turn Number 5
Every ability/skill has a CA and Target Number of their own
Size - 50ss for organized play (tournaments)
Pre-measuring
Soulstone Mechanic
Done before any flip is made
Enhance a duel
Can use more than 1 in a duel (declare all at once)
Adding a + to its flip
Adding a + on attack flip
Adding a + on the defense flip and impose - on the damage suffered
Adding a suit
Draw additional cards in the beginning of a turn (2 cards)
No healing flips
Duel Sequence
Declare Soulstone use
Flip Fate Card and add stats
Choose to cheat fate
Declare one trigger
determine success
Defensive Stance mechanic
discard a card, gain + per AP spent
Scheme Markers
Line of Sight clarification
Damage Spread
Red Joker is now Severe + Weak
Companion Mechanic
Activate first model, finish within 6" of a friendly model that has companion, that model activates, MAX OF 2 per activation
Horror duel
Paralyzed if not passed
Burning Effect
Stacks
Can be extinguished
During upkeep, suffers the damage as many tokens
Deployment zones
Close encounter (12" away from each other)
Strategies
Ram - Turf War - 1VP per turn if a crew has 2+ models within 6" of the
center
Crow - Reckoning - 1VP per turn if a crew kills/sacrifice 2+ enemy models
Mask - Reconnoiter - 1VP per turn if a crew controls 2+ table quarters
Tome - Squatter's Rights - 1 VP per 2 squat markers claimed
Joker - Stake a Claim - 1VP if there's more claim markers in opponent's
half
