Garmin's latest innovation is the eTrex Solar GPS navigator. Its key feature is its long battery life, which can be extended multiple times even when away from a power outlet using a built-in solar panel.
The Garmin eTrex Solar features a 2.2-inch monochrome display with a built-in solar cell. It charges automatically when daylight brightness exceeds 75,000 lux. The navigator's basic battery life is up to 8 hours with fast GPS updates, and up to 75 days in battery saver mode.
