ESL Fun and Games! This is a quick 4-minute description of how to play various ESL games and/or activities, like "Hot Seat," "Trashketball," "DuoLingo," "Singing," "Role-playing" and a list of possible phrases to use for "Hot Seat!" These games are great for a one-hour long lesson; it can also be used to teach Spanish and French, for example, to non-native speakers. To be honest it can be used to teach any language.
My specialty is teaching using games. Some people underestimate the power of learning through fun; however, I embrace it to keep my students interested. This game, "Hot Seat" is one that must be played with your students. DuoLingo is also a phenomenal application that should be used in every language classroom!
