Today I'm going to paint a 3D printed Clone Medic from Darkfire Designs for Star Wars Legion. I go over quite a few miniature painting tips in this video, including all of the steps I took to paint this mini. I'm really happy with how he turned out!
The main steps in this case are 3D print the mini, I printed him on my Elegoo Saturn with standard Elegoo Resin. Next I prime the mini, and I like to zenithal prime my minis spraying them black, and then spraying white from above. This method really helps for painting Clone Troopers and Stormtroopers and does a LOT of the work for us. Next I use some thinned down black to paint his undersuit, boot trim, visor, and weapon. I like to paint the black first because I can then come back with white after to clean up any mistakes easily. I then take some thinned down white and paint some extra highlights on the upwards facing parts of his armor to add some more details. Next is the red for his medic symbol on his shoulder, I've got some tips in the video to help with this! I can clean up any mistakes with white again as well. Lastly we do a little work on the base, Darkfire Designs sculpted a cool rocky desert base, so we're just painting a few details in and adding a tuft of grass to call it done!
I cover things like thinning your paints, brush control, and the Power Triangle! In addition to how to actually paint this guy!
