Apple’s new M4 Mac Mini is a fantastic little machine – but it comes with big limitations: no USB-A ports, no SD card reader, and insanely expensive storage upgrades. Enter the Satechi Mac Mini Stand & Hub, which promises to fix all of that with extra USB ports, an SD card reader, and support for up to 4TB of NVMe SSD storage.

In this video, I unbox, install, and test the Satechi Dock with a Kingston 4TB SSD, compare speeds to the Samsung T7 Shield, and run real-world transfer tests with an SD card. While the performance looks great on paper, I ran into serious reliability issues with certain SSDs that you need to know about before buying.

👉 Watch until the end to find out what went wrong, which SSDs you should avoid, and whether this dock is actually worth it for your Mac Mini setup.

📌 A follow-up video with the Crucial P3 Plus SSD test will be coming soon – so make sure you’re subscribed with notifications on!
