Ever wonder what small tools chef's typically have in their home kitchen? My list and links to all are BELOW! Pretty much everything I do in the kitchen involves at least a few of these tools, so watch this video as I explain what I use each for and why you need them.

CHEF’S KNIFE - I encourage you to go to a cooking store and try different brands to get the size and feel you like. However, most people find these knives to be a great universal knife if you don’t want to hassel shopping around and just want a good knife that will last you forever.

MICROPLANE GRATERS - this brand is high quality and budget friendly. Every chef has these and is a must in the kitchen. The box grater is great for larger quantities, while the handheld microplane is for finer items in smaller quantities (lemon zest or top something with freshly shaved parmesan).

SILICONE SPATULAS - I like the ones that are all one piece as they are easy to clean (dishwasher safe!) and won’t break as easily. This set has a variety of sizes for pans, small jars, etc!

PEELER - this brand is a MUST. Knock offs suck - they don’t peel the same. You will never go back! Wash by hand as the metal peeler part rusts in the dishwasher. Great as a gift for other friends who love to cook!

MANDOLINE - my favorite brand has gotten less expensive since I last bought mine (which was forever ago)!! This brand is a chef go-to, stays sharp, and lasts forever.

CITRUS JUICER - simple, gets more juice out than doing by hand and strains the seeds for you. Wash by hand as paint will chip over time in dishwasher.

OFFSET SPATULA - great for flipping items when an extra large spatula (like for pancakes) is overkill. I like to use for crepes, small pieces of meat or vegetables.

PASSCARD/BOWL SCRAPER - One of my favorite small kitchen tools! I use to scrape up chopped garlic, vegetables, or to clean my cutting board with. I found a brand that has a few different sizes including an extra large one like I love!

SMALL TONGS - love this compact size that fits easily in drawers and is plenty big to flip most items and even great for pasta.
