How to Host a Don't Starve Together Server with SteamCMD (Step-by-Step Guide - 2025)
This video will show you how to host your own Don't Starve Together dedicated server with Steam CMD.
NOTE:
If you do not know HOW TO PORT FORWARD on your router, google the model of your router and how to port forward with it.
Timeline Guide:
0:00 - Intro
0:08 - Port Forwarding: 11000, 11001, & 10999
0:18 - Download SteamCMD
1:33 - Download DST Dedicated Server Files
Run the following commands:
login anonymous
force_install_dir C:\DSTServer
app_update 343050 validate
2:26 - Download Cluster Token from accounts.klei.com
3:40 - Configure the server
4:21 - Navigate to MyPC\documents\klei\donotstarvetogether\Cluster_1
or C:\Users\"username"\documents\klei\donotstarvetogether\Cluster_1
Copy and paste all cluster token files downloaded to location
5:35 - Create Batch file to start server
cd /D "C:\DSTServer\bin"
start dontstarve_dedicated_server_nullrenderer.exe -console -cluster Cluster_1 -shard Master
start dontstarve_dedicated_server_nullrenderer.exe -console -cluster Cluster_1 -shard Caves
7:56 - OPTIONAL: Mods
10:28 - OPTIONAL: Enabling Server Mods if they don't work
14:25 - Launch Game to join server
