DAY 5 - CAMINO INGLES | SIGUREO TO SANTIAGO
The one with the enchanted forest and a celebration in front of a cathedral! We made it!!
📌 LOCATION: Siguero to Santiago!
🥾 MILES: 11 miles
☀️ WEATHER: Wonderful, dry, warm weather. We feel blessed!
⛑️ HEALTH: Rebecca is not great as her feet are very painful, but she walked every single step!
🥘 FOOD: Last nights pizza, chicken & chips, and various snacks.
💰 MONEY: We spent a few quid in Santiago on certificates, food m, hotel and gifts.
SUMMARY:
What a wonderful day! All five of us left Siguero at the same time and the walk was very mystical (due to the mist and the sun trying to make an appearance). Most of the walk was through the woods, including the enchanted forest. We stopped at a cafe for a quick drink, then another stop in a delightful little church on the outskirts of Santiago. We were greeted by our Camino family and bagpipes as we reached the main Plaza. Celebratory hugs all around! We did it!
