Stock Trading Beginner Course: Lesson 2 - ThinkOrSwim Setup, Tips, and Tricks!
👨🏼🏫🎯📝: I think there are 1,000,000 sources out there that have plenty of good ToS tips and tricks. This is a fairly easy program to use - so here are some of my favorite tips and tricks.
I still find it really important for a beginner to stop watching their tickers all day. “Oh MaN i hoPe My StOcK eNdS gReEn ToDaY” - well it will or won’t man - stop worrying so much. There is nothing you can do to force it one direction - so let it run baby and calm down. Have charting software separate from your held tickers so you do not strain yourself all day.
I will show you how to have and add a hot bar as well. This is an amazing tool and can be your home station basically for your charting. It takes 5 seconds in ToS and it makes life so so so much easier.
After that we will look at the Time Axis tools and how to adjust how much time is shown on the screen - and how to fix the problems you will see. We will then add and change the time phrases you use in the next tab; and after the appearance changes I use.
After the how to use and change volume, which is critical for some people and spacing. We will then look at CTRL + functions to save you even more time. To save you more time we will look at how to create and save studies as well.
After that, check out the alert tools and the scanning function as well. We then wrap this bad boy up and head out to lesson 3!
