It's time to go over how I created this animated loop in less than one minute.

Insydium released a plugin called terraformfx earlier this year. I wanted to give it a test run since I really enjoy procedural landscapes.

After playing around with the base settings I ended up with this stylized landscape. I used some deformers to add a small lake with an island in the center.

This is when I knew I wanted to add some motion to the piece. By animating the noises that were generating my landscape I was able to get the terrain to morph back and forth.

I added in a circle spline and attached a sphere to it with the align to spline tag. A couple of keyframes later I had it rotating in a nice looping pattern.

I tossed in an xparticles system and parented the emitter to my moving sphere. A couple of motion modifiers later and I had the particles moving. I applied a trails generator to the emitter and made sure to keyframe the particle life so it would loop.

I made some final tweaks to the materials and lighting before finally hitting render.

Thanks for watching see you in the next one!
