Here’s what I’ve noticed: It’s easy to constantly see people posting things like…
“I made $100k this month!”
“I booked 10 new clients in 1 week”
“Here’s how I scaled to 7 figures in 1 year"
And while those are AMAZING successes that should be celebrated (and honestly can be really amazing marketing, when done ethically), it can be easy to see that over… and over… and over again, and to start doubting yourself.
Thinking things like…
“Am I doing this all wrong?!”
“Why am I not growing that fast?”
“Am I a failure because I’m not achieving those things?”
But let me encourage you of a few things:
➡️ It’s marketing. It’s the highlights. We don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes.
➡️ Sometimes, those claims are TOTALLY FAKE. I heard recently of one girl getting caught faking transaction #s for her marketing. Ummm, nope. Most are not faking it but ask those deeper questions to know if it’s true or not.
➡️ If it’s not actually fake, it’s SO easy to warp the numbers to sound really good. A $100k month - but you spent $70k on Facebook ads? That’s a big difference from a $35k with only $5k of expenses!
I don’t know about you, but I’m still on the journey to where I want to go - and that’s okay! It’s not about having “arrived” but enjoying your life as well. 🫶🏻
