The Sacrifice - Marrowmage | EPIC CINEMATIC DARKWAVE / DARKSYNTH | VTuber
Welcome to RITE! This is track #2 from the RITE EP release. This song actually started as a live stream experiment. I asked my Twitch chat for some text prompts, then they all voted on which one's we'd use to base a track around. The words they chose were "Sacrifice" and "Suffocating". It was also decided that we'd try and include some phonk vibes. Not all of the phonk elements made it to the finished song, but the 808 drums, heavy clipping/saturation, and a cowbell bass layer made the cut. For those familiar with the genre, it wont come as a surprise to know this song was heavily inspired by artists like Dxrk ダーク, and tracks like BONES.
I had this image in my mind of a sacrifice being brought in chains to a ritual chamber full of cultists up to no good. This is where that visual took me! It's loosely connected to the other two songs to create a story of sorts, so make sure to check out The Summoning, and The Rampage too.
