HELLO HELLO,
Welcome to the party!
My name is Alexander and I am a web developer by day. During the night I am an open-source developer on a mission to build helpful tools to help people in their learning journeys all around the world. As a self-taught developer, I have greatly benefited from other people's work and therefore I want to give back this way.
I made my first YouTube videos to show people how to install projects I was working on and to report bugs. YouTube made it easy and convenient to upload public videos.
Later on, with YouTube, my goal became to grow my Twitch channel. If you don't know what Twitch is, it's a live streaming platform where you can broadcast your passion for the world to see. A lot of the content there is gaming but there are categories like the one I am mostly in Science & Technology.
I first learned of Twitch from my friend blob who introduced me to Twitch back in 2018. I was at home, working remotely as an open-source developer in an international team. I had regular Zoom meetings with my team and 1-1 with my manager and even attended company retreats, but I was really lonely. When Blob told me about twitch. I had to check it out. I thought it was really cool and wanted to try it out for myself.
In my mind, this seemed like a great way to avoid procrastination on my own projects. So I started streaming and had a blast. I meet some new people. Made friends and I still talk with them to this day. I am really grateful to Blob who introduced me to Twitch. It changed my life. It made me want to improve myself as a person build more tools for people.
Instead of getting overrun by working overtime and giving up on my side projects. I learned about other streamers and makers that did things. That helped me start doing my own experimentation. I went from quitting new side projects after only a few weeks to finishing my projects and continuing working on them for months later.
I still want to continue building helpful and useful tools for people. That's a part of who I am. I am still striving to provide insane value to people. I will continue that journey and I hope you are there for the ride.
