In this video I explain what it means to "clip from the top", which is the secret sauce for making sounds loud enough to fit into a loud mix. This is episode 6 in a series about how to mix for loudness, in large part by using a specific approach to gainstaging and dynamic range control that I call the "Clip-to-Zero (CTZ) strategy".
