TEST! Vacuum Wood Impregnation. Oil Stabilization of Wood Under Vacuum.
I conducted a vacuum wood impregnation test using birch wood. I compared the wood's stabilization with oil in a vacuum and at atmospheric pressure. The best wood impregnation results were achieved using a regular, colorless oil in a vacuum. The oil penetrated the wood quite deeply along the grain.
Tinting the oil yielded no results.
