HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language and it is basically made up of 'tags'. HTML is essential to know how to use and work with in order to create any website. This tutorial is an introduction to HTML, including all all the basics of HTML and the structure/bare bones of a HTML document.

If you don't have access to 'Notepad' (Windows), then text editors such as Sublime Text, Adobe Dreamweaver and Notepad++ would be fine to use.
