The FUTURE of VR is looking...
There are so many upcoming VR and AR headsets from pretty big companies and very promising high-quality specs. In this video, we’ll be covering the biggest upcoming VR and AR headsets. As you know, these headsets will represent the short-term future of the VR and AR space. I personally can’t wait to go broke buying these headsets so let’s dive into the video.
The first competitor is the upcoming Playstation VR 2. PSVR2 is already confirmed by Sony and is expected to release in 2023. PSVR2 already has confirmed games such as Resident Evil 8, Horizon Call of the Mountain, No Man’s Sky, and many more.
Next, is the Apple Mixed Reality Headset. Apple has not officially confirmed the headset will show up to play but we do have evidence that we possibly see this fighter by June of 2023. It'll be a super strong headset thanks to the powerful chip inside that’ll be similar to Apple’s M1 chip for the Mac series of computers. Do not be surprised by what they’ll be asking you to pay because I’m telling you now it’ll be around $2-3000.
Code named Project Cambria, Meta Quest Pro is next. Quest Pro will be a much slimmer and balanced fighter compared to Meta Quest 2 dominating the industry right now. The Quest Pro targets the older fans in the crowd as it was that the headset is intended for professional use in the workspace.
Next are Pico 4 and Pico 4 Pro. Pico 4 is under the agency of world-famous TikTok owner, ByteDance. Pico Neo Link 3 was dubbed to be a decent Meta Quest 2 alternative. We also expect the Pico 4 to reveal its identity in April of 2023.
Next we have the Tilt Five. This headset comes with a wand-like controller to interact with the AR content. This headset is designed just for the tabletop setting that can show AR near a flat surface. Tilt five will be coming in at $359 US dollars and is currently available for reservations on their website.
Next, we have Lynx-R1. Lynx-R1 does have a slim figure but with dual 1600 by 1600 90Hz LCD panels and is expected to be released this year. Its primary control is through hand tracking. We’ll see this headset valued at $499 ready to enter the fight this year.
The Pimax agency brings in two new headset, Reality 12K QLED and Crystal QLED. Both fighters will be standalone fighters and are expected to enter the ring in 2022. They both have super high specs but you’ll be expected to pay $2,400 for reality and $1,899 for the Crystal,
Lastly, we have Valve Deckard Standalone Headset. Rumors suggest that this headset will have the capabilities for wireless PCVR functionality similar to Oculus link. Valve themselves has stated that we do in fact have two headsets in development but do not expect Deckard to be released anytime soon.
Alright, guys, I hope you guys liked a little change of pace with the voice. I wanna add this last portion very quickly as it definitely caught my attention. When I was signing up for the Among US VR Beta, I had to choose which VR headset I wanted to play on. I’m gonna pull up the site now. As you can see there are so many possible headsets that I haven’t even heard of the rumors. These possibly upcoming VR headsets will definitely be part of the future and the competition.
