Jordan Peterson's rule "Set Your House In Order Before You Criticize The World" is a great rule to live by. I would actually say it is a Biblical principle as the Bible talks about managing your household well so you can manage outwardly. Or like the parable of the talents that we need to take what we are given and do well with it first before we can try to change the world.
