Milky Way Sunset Timelapse
How long does it take to get 38 Seconds of mesmerizing day to night milky way timelapse?
Known as the Holy Grail of timelapse photography this clip took many attempts before I got it all juuuuuuust right! The calm night with scattered clouds. Learning I need a lens heater even in the summer to prevent fog (yep I ruined an amazing sequence two nights previous. This was taken with the tripod in the water so I couldn't step into or be in the water during exposure oe the ripples would never go away. AND then on this night, a bug flew into my lens for about 20 frames and I learned how to edit frame by frame to remove the bug (Tutorial Coming). All in all I really enjoyed the process and next time will set up a tent to nap for 4 hours while it runs, or even let it run till sunrise and see what I get.
The answer, hours and hours and hours. But now I can do it with confidence.
