Create a voice-controlled Android app using the free MIT App Inventor 2, a drag and drop programming environment that allows even complete beginners to program applications for their Android phone or tablet.

This is a very basic program designed to be a foundation for future projects. When finished, you will be able to change the color and display images on your screen - all controlled by your voice.

And you can continue to build upon the same code - connect it to Alexa or Google assistant, connect to with Bluetooth or wifi and control it from another phone or another state.

This project was created as an hour long, first class in programming. There is a full Instructable available for this project as well. It's a guaranteed win that will hopefully bring first timers back to the Maker Club for more programming classes - or maybe to create accessories for their new moodlight.
