Rafael Nadal is the undeniable Tennis GOAT on clay courts. And especially at Roland Garros, one of the 4 Grand Slams, the bull of Manacor was almost unbeatable during his career. He won a stunning 112 matches to lift the trophy 14 times. He lost a mere 4 matches, at first to Robin Soderling in 2009, which allowed Roger Federer to tale his only title on the French clay and complete the career grand slam. Novak Djokovic managed to beat Nadal twice and in 2024 the Spaniard was still too rusty and maybe already too old to make it past the first round against Alexander Zverev, who went on to reach the final against Carlos Alcaraz.
In the 116 matches that Nadal played at Roland Garros only 17 men managed to even win a set against him. Rafa's overall set win-loss record (from 2005-24) is 333-37.
