HIGHLIGHTS from SEAMEO SPAFA Post-IPPA 2022 Excursion
SEAMEO Regional Centre for Archaeology and Fine Arts (SEAMEO SPAFA), was a co-organizer for IPPA 2022, which was held in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 7-12 November 2022. After IPPA 2022, SEAMEO SPAFA organized a post-conference excursion allowing individuals who signed up for the excursion to visit 8 archaeological and cultural sites across 7 provinces in Thailand.
The excursion, which spanned over 4-days from 13-16 November 2022, started with the bus departing from Chiang Mai and stopping at the provinces of Lampang, Phitsanulok, Petchabun, Lopburi, and Saraburi before finally reaching the final destination of Bangkok. In each stop, participants were treated to guided tours of a significant cultural and/or archaeological site from rock art, temples, Buddha's footprint, and much more.
