Last weekend I worked with a teen who was suicidal because she was being blackmailed by a guy with her nudes. He was asking for money and good enough she reached out to another community champion of ours who sprung into action like lightening. As a psychoterapist, I preferred to focus on and work with the girl to asuage her fears and get her to be courageous through the ordeal. There is no dime to give that dude nor any of those blackmailers who for any reason think publishing some lady's nude will bring them any fulfilment through the humiliation. I don't even know why many seem to focus on the girls blaming them for sending nudes. We send them out of love period. I have sent mine too 10 years ago. What don't people do in their rooms? So, shouldn't it be the blackmailers to be shamed and punished? And all those who would see the nudes and take pleasure in sharing them and judging like they were without blemish in their own life, what value added is that exercise to their life? What if it were done to your sister, neice or daughter? It's such a pity and saddens me that even another woman will be blackmailing her unfaithful husband's 'mistress' with her nudes like that will make the cheat of a husband faithful. In short, muse for Wednesday because we also need to look this thing of infidelity in the face. My beef for today and my doing that video is say #notoblackmailing be not the source of someone's nervous breakdown or worse suicide o.
