I wanted to share something fun: a very silly version of the Ramayana I created for my 7-year-old. I turned it into a comic book/coloring book for Diwali, and for a few teachers, I recorded a video of myself reading it to share with their classrooms. If you’re interested and think it’s appropriate, feel free to check it out.
Heads up: there’s a big fart joke that impacts Lord Rama, which might not sit well with some students or families. I just want to flag that in case there are any sensitivity concerns. I’ve included a similar warning at the beginning of the comic, as this is a deliberately goofy version designed for really young kids.
I have nothing but LOVE and respect for the Rama and the traditions of the Ramayana. That said I also want fun ways to share it with my kids.
