In many cases, they may not cause any symptoms or give you any problems. Mild symptoms can often be relieved by increasing fluid and fibre intake. This decreases straining during the passing of motion so that the pressure on haemorrhoids is reduced, hence preventing them from bleeding or protruding.
If the condition is more severe and these conservative treatment do not work for persistent, painful haemorrhoids, minimally invasive procedures can be considered. Consult your gastroenterologist to have your condition assessed and receive advice and treatment options specific to yourself.
