Welcome to the iconic Memorial Hall in Taipei, Taiwan! This striking white structure features four sides topped with a blue octagonal roof, symbolizing the number eight, which is traditionally linked with abundance and good fortune in China. Visitors ascend two sets of white stairs, each with 89 steps, a nod to Chiang Kai-shek's age at his death, leading to the main entrance. Inside, the ground floor hosts a library and a museum showcasing Chiang Kai-shek's life and career, along with exhibits that delve into Taiwan's rich history and development. On the upper level, you’ll find the main hall, where a grand statue of Chiang Kai-shek stands and where visitors can witness the ceremonial changing of the guards.
