Join us this week as we take a look at the semi-aquatic, paddle handed comsog...oh wait, it isn't 1972. This week we're looking at the decidedly terrestrial theropod Compsognathus! Only recently dethroned as the smallest (extinct, yes we know about hummingbirds) dinosaur, and even more recently dethroned as the smallest dinosaur in the game, Compsognathus has long had a place in the public eye. But what do we know about it? What did it eat and where did it live? And given some recent publications, what do we think about where it belongs on the dinosaur family tree? Well we do some real time science to try to find out!!
