How to spot a fake TL074 and what does Clone Pi have to do with it?
As it turns out, it's impossible to distinguish a counterfeit TL074 from the original by eye—modern fakes look perfect. But turn on an oscilloscope, and everything becomes clear. In this video, I'll show tests of three batches of TL074 and compare them with the original OPA4134. The results are shocking: the slew rate of the counterfeits is tens of times slower! It turns out that spotting a fake TL074 by appearance is nearly impossible—modern counterfeits look perfect. But once you connect the oscilloscope, the truth is obvious. In this video, I test three TL074 batches from AliExpress and compare them with the original OPA4134. The results are shocking — the fake ICs are up to 15 times slower!
