Seat Ibiza, Starter Replacement - No Problem!
In this video, I'll show you how you can easily replace the starter on your Seat Ibiza yourself.
Before I replaced the starter, I had to make sure that the problem was really related to the starter. My car simply wouldn't start after several attempts. The battery was in good condition, so I called the ADAC. The friendly helper tapped the starter with a hammer, and voilà, the car started again. This confirmed the diagnosis: the starter was defective.
The price for the new starter at the local auto parts dealer was around 320€ (10/2023).
Replacing the starter was really straightforward and solved my problem. I didn't use any grease or lubricant.
