Episode 1:
For 500 years, we have nursed our wounds, waiting for the day of reckoning.
For 500 years, the spawn of Eorl have trampled our homeland, thieves of the North, slaves to the false kings of Númenor. When our forefathers refused to bend the knee, those Gondorian swine found a more craven people to serve their cause, turning to the horse-lords, the Rohirrim.
Since that time, we have fought a bitter war against these invaders. The blood of our people stains every field, every river. Even mighty Wulf, son of Freca, laid siege to Edoras itself! Victory was within our grasp—but by the hand of Gondor, it was snatched away. Our revenge denied. The house of Eorl still stands, propped up by the swords of others.
For too long, we have made little gain, forced to surrender even the great Orthanc to Saruman the White... But perhaps, my lords, therein lies the key to our triumph. For the winds are changing.
I, your king, was summoned by Saruman himself, the lord of Isengard. And what I found may surprise you, my brothers. We are not so different, he and I. Saruman despises the Rohirrim as we do. He understands our cause—and sees the justice in it. As we speak, his sorcery has already taken root in Meduseld. That old fool Théoden weakens by the day, his grip on our lands loosening.
But that is not all. Saruman has shown his hand—he has given us gifts: weapons of steel, armor of strength, forged in the fires of his great fortress. And he asks but one thing in return: the complete and utter destruction of the house of Eorl.
I ask you, my lords—shall we deny him that?
No! For 500 years, we have bled. For 500 years, we have suffered. But now... now is our time. Return to your homes. Summon your clans. Gather every sword, every spear, every able hand that can wield them. The hour of vengeance is upon us.
The Crebain shall take flight once more, and a great shadow will fall over Rohan. The blood of Eorl’s line will run like rivers, and we shall reclaim what is ours.
War is coming, my brothers. Let it come. Let the world tremble beneath the might of Dunland!
