Mower losing power when cutting grass?
In this video I cover the many reasons I see riding mowers, both commercial and residential, losing power while cutting. Many customers will say their mower dies or loses power when they engage the blades.
There are many reasons this could be happening.
The most common reason is something wrong with the deck operation causing too much load or resistance on the engine.
If the deck and all its components have been checked for issues next look at the engine.
Many times the engines may seem to run fine until the blades are engaged and the engine load is suddenly increased. I discuss what to check.
If your engine is running bad or weak from the start and at low rpms then you need to focus first on the engine issue.
