Path of Exile – How to beat Daresso – Indepth Boss Fight Analysis
Daresso, the King of Swords was added in The Awakening Expansion of Path of Exile is still causing problems for new and veteran players to this day. I took the time not only to make a guide for the fight but also test all of his moves to see which ones can be evaded, dodged or spell dodged to determined which ones are spells and attacks.
I tested all three difficulties and there seems to be no difference besides him dealing more damage on the higher ones. I did not test Collosseum Daresso however.
My findings:
His auto attack can be evaded thus he does not have RT.
The „Reave“ like 4 waves attack seems to be a cold damage spell. It also does more damage at close range I am fairly certain.
His combo attack cannot be avoided by means of dodge, evasion or spell dodge.
The statues seem to do spell damage as well which is at least partially cold damage.
The whirling swords do physical damage that cannot be avoided. He actually does not spawn them until you damage him.
Keep in mind all this was found out by empirical testing and errors could have been made. That being said a lot of time went into this and I did my best to get everything right. I hope this helps some of you who have trouble with this boss fight!
