In this #tutorial, I will explain to you the basic concept of all #synthesizers. They are all basically the same. I will explain how to think about sound in ways of volume, pitch, and timbre and changing it over time.
I will show you the 5 basic components of a synthesizer. The Oscillator, Filter, Amplifier, Envelope and the Low-frequency Oscillator. This basic knowledge will help you find your way around almost every synthesizer out there. After understanding this, it’s easier to understand the more in-depth features and different types of synthesizers next to subtractive synths like FM, adaptive or even features on samplers.
