Battle of Slavs and Vikings - Wolin 2021
The Battle of Slavs and Vikings is the annual show of battles between teams of warriors at the festival of Slavs and Vikings in Wolin. However, this year the festival did not take place due to the pandemic, instead there were experimental archeology workshops, so we could see combat shows anyway.
The experimental archeology workshops are not only demonstrations of fights between teams of warriors, but also the staging of rituals from 1000 years ago, workshops of old crafts and performances by early music bands. The event is spread over several days, which since the outbreak of the pandemic has replaced the previously held Slavs and Vikings Festival. The conducted workshops of ancient crafts covering various aspects of everyday life, however, are not inferior to the previous event.
