Did the boardwalk survive? Join me on this mini-hiking adventure to see the damage for yourself. I went hiking through the woods in Central Florida to see the damage caused by Hurricane Ian and Nicole from six months earlier. The forest has finally dried up but you can tell that the entire forest had been under 3-4 feet of water. The boardwalk itself has been smashed, crashed, flooded and torn apart in many places.
The footage was taken on the nature trail at the Seminole County Environmental Studies Center in Longwood Florida. I tried to not edit the video too much so it would keep the authentic feel of going on the hike. -- Only a few fast forwards were used. Filmed in 4K, 30fps on a GoPro Hero 11 Black in Linear mode with Horizon Leveling. Lightly edited in Adobe Premiere Pro.
