Excel has an amazing ability to create dynamic models. Dynamic models allows the user to apply formulas which recalculates when the value is changed in the formula
What -If analysis is an amazing tool which allows the user to perform simulations such as "What if we raise our product price by 3%?". Will it have an impact on sales ? and so on.
In what-if analysis , three tools are available.
1. Scenario Manager
2. Goal Seek
3. Data Table.
This is a 3 part video. In this video, goal seek is covered (Part 1).
The user can set the present value using any financial or statistical function and based on the arrived result a target value can be set. Based on the target value, Goal seek recalculates and let the user know that at the projected value, the target value can be achieved.
