Here is a step-by-step tutorial to delete a Salesforce account:
Head over to the gear icon on the top right and select Setup from the dropdown.
Search for "company" in the Quick Find field.
Select Company Information under Company Settings.
You will find a Deactivate Org button in the Organization Detail section. Click on it.
You will see the warning informing you about the impact of deleting your Salesforce account and the scope of reversal after the account deletion.
Enter your org name in the text field at the bottom of the page and hit the Deactivate Org button.
You will be led back to the Company information page, where you will now see a Reactivate Org button. This means your Salesforce account has been successfully deleted.
