Use the stairs to exercise your dog
Dog training tip - running up and down the stairs. Great way to wear out a high-energy herding dog or other high energy dog breeds. To train this start with your dog on leash, say “upstairs”, and gently guide him upstairs, and then treat at the top. Then say “downstairs”, and guide him down the stairs and treat him at the bottom. Continue working and delay the help so eventually, your dog hears the cue and makes a movement on his own. At that point, you can drop the leash or take the leash off your dog. Only say the cue once, and help your dog out if he does not do it on his own.
