You know it's gotta be this guy. The stage 2 boss of Parodius Da! now as a MUGEN fighter. It's basically an AI controlled boss character, but there was a playable version released not too long ago, so feel free to look that up if you're interested. Also, I find it pretty interesting that the sound waves are color coded for standing, crouching, and jumping and will not hit you if you're in one of those states depending on the color.
