FEMALE Artists getting Leadership Roles at PIXAR
Female artists are finally getting more recognition and opportunities for leadership roles in the industry! Pixar, arguably one of the best studios in the world, has promoted long time employees, Lindsey Collins and Domee Shi to higher positions in the studio. This is great news since these positions in the industry has been predominantly occupied by men. With the biggest studio making these moves, more people will follow. However, as much as this is great news, it has been a long time coming. Billy and Jamie discuss why it may have taken so long for female artists/employees to get into these higher positions and what it means for the industry from here on out.
