Kitfort KT-7411. If you're tired of wasting money on takeaway coffee cups at the local coffee shop or choking down instant coffee substitutes in the morning, then this video is especially for you. We'll see if this budget-friendly little device can replace a full-fledged coffee machine and find out why it's called the "Turk killer." Sit back, pour yourself a hot cup, and let's get started!
Let's get right to the point—the philosophy of this device. The KT-7411 is a "coffee to go" coffee maker. The manufacturer has brilliantly solved the problem of people always in a hurry. The device comes with a fully functional thermal mug, rather than a glass coffee pot that you're always afraid of breaking. You simply press a button while brushing your teeth or packing your bag, and your coffee is poured directly into the glass you'll be carrying when you leave the house. The thermal mug is, by the way, very nice: the outside is soft-touch plastic, and the inside is solid stainless steel. It holds 400 milliliters, the gold standard for a good morning Americano. It can keep your drink warm for 30 minutes to an hour, and up to two hours if you rinse it with boiling water first. The lid is leak-proof, with a convenient valve, so you won't spill anything in the car or on public transportation.
The size of this coffee maker is a whole other story. It's incredibly compact! Measuring just 131 by 178 by 258 millimeters, it takes up less countertop space than a standard electric kettle or water filter pitcher. Weighing just 800 grams, it's easy to throw in a backpack and take to the countryside, or even on a business trip, so you don't have to rely on hotel service. The design is clean and minimalist; the glossy white plastic with gray accents looks modern and doesn't attract fingerprints.
The controls couldn't be simpler—a single button on the side. Turn it on, the indicator lights up, and the brewing process begins. The 450-watt power may seem modest to some, but it's more than enough for brewing a single cup. The entire brewing cycle takes between two and seven minutes, depending on how much water you pour into the reservoir. Speaking of water, the reservoir holds exactly 400 milliliters, the same as a mug. The system is simple: you get the same amount of coffee you pour in; there are no complicated electronics dosing the water for you.
A very important point for those on a budget: you won't have to constantly buy paper filters. This model has a reusable nylon mesh filter. Just use it, shake out the grounds, rinse it under the tap in five seconds, and it's ready to use again. It's eco-friendly and easy on your wallet. Of course, to get the perfect taste, I recommend using a medium or coarse grind. Grinding too finely, like dust, can clog the mesh and cause water to overflow, so be careful.
Now about taste and temperature, as this is the most heated area for debate in the comments. The resulting drink reaches a temperature of around 76–79 degrees Celsius. This isn't boiling water that would burn everything alive, but the right temperature to bring out the flavor of the beans. The coffee is smooth, rich, and aromatic. If you like to drink it straight away and in large sips, this is ideal. If you like to add cold milk from the fridge, the coffee may become lukewarm, so here's a life hack from me: warm the mug with hot water before brewing; this will raise the temperature.
Safety is also top-notch. The coffee maker has an automatic shut-off function. It will turn off automatically after seven minutes. This is a lifesaver for those who are constantly worrying, "Did I turn off the iron and the coffee maker?" We went to work, and the smart appliance took care of itself.
Of course, as an honest reviewer, I have to mention a few nuances. There's no drip stop in the traditional sense. When you remove the mug, a few drops may fall onto the tray. But the tray is removable and easy to clean, or simply wait a minute after brewing for the last drops to fall into the glass. Condensation also accumulates on the lid, so you need to open it carefully immediately after brewing to prevent water from dripping onto the back. Let it cool for about fifteen minutes, and the problem will resolve itself.
Who is this machine suitable for? Students in a dorm, office workers with a private desk, summer residents, and anyone who lives alone or drinks coffee in splendid isolation. For a large family with a line for the bathroom and kitchen in the morning, it might be a bit small, as it brews one serving at a time and requires a break between cycles. But for its price, it's a godsend and an entry ticket to the world of natural coffee.
