Speech and Language Delay in Toddlers
This is our son Levi who was diagnosed with Non-Verbal Autism. Levi is verbal but he's unable to articulate saying many words.
Speech and language delay is an Early Sign of Autism. It's a sign that we overlooked for a while longer than we may should have thinking Levi would talk in his own time. You know... when he's ready. Because all kids are different.
I don't think you realize it sometimes or it may be hard to recognize when your child has delays that may require attention. And just because there are some delays doesn't mean they have Autism. There could be something else going on. All children are different but if you're concerned about your child's development, it's okay to just have your child checked out by their doctor just to be sure there's nothing to worry about. Early intervention is the key and has changed all our lives.
