Dark Cloud - Unused Mystery Circle Effect?
Note: The Flapping Duster at the end was obviously hacked into that particular chest. I did that so people could see what the item looked like when obtained from a chest, since it normally can't be obtained without the glitch menu. Click "Show more" for the full description.
A quick video showing an unused effect with mystery circles saying that an item melted and became another item. My best guess is that maybe this would've reversed built up weapons, like the Chronicle Sword melting and becoming an Atlamillia Sword.
The Mystery Circles effects and coordinates can be changed with these addresses in Cheat Engine:
Mystery Circle 1
21DD5690 - X Coordinate (Float)
21DD5694 - Z Coordinate (Float)
21DD5698 - Y Coordinate (Float)
21DD56A0 - Obtained Status (4 Bytes, 00 for obtained 01 for unobtained)
21DD56A4 - Effect (4 Bytes)
21DD56A8 - Animation (4 Bytes, change the value here to 00000000 for default)
Mystery Circle 2
21DD56B0 - X Coordinate (Float)
21DD56B4 - Z Coordinate (Float)
21DD56B8 - Y Coordinate (Float)
21DD56C0 - Obtained Status (4 Bytes, 00 for obtained 01 for unobtained)
21DD56C4 - Effect (4 Bytes)
21DD56C8 - Animation (4 Bytes, change the value here to 00000000 for default)
These are all the effects:
00 - Pumped with energy.
01 - Funds increased a little.
02 - Abs of the equipped weapon became full.
03 - Max WHp of the equipped weapon increased.
04 - WHp of the equipped weapon recovered.
05 - Monster is pumped with energy.
06 - Funds decreased a little.
07 - Status of the equipped weapon changed.
08 - Max WHp of the equipped weapon decreased.
09 - WHp of the equipped weapon decreased.
0A - " " melted and became " ".
The rest of the values either do nothing, or show a blank text box larger than the screen for a couple seconds.
