This is the first prototype of a motion sensor device built for International Committee of the Red Cross that detects the amount of time a prosthetic limb is used in a day and sends it to my central server where it can be monitored from anywhere in the world. It stores 2 to 12 weeks of usage data in its memory and sends it to the server whenever a WiFi connection is available. The next phase will be using a low power GSM chip and a SIM card so a WiFi connection will not be needed.
