The Triple Threat Match: Bob Backlund Vs. Mark & Thomas (PayPal Scammers)
Over the weekend, "Mark" the PayPal scammer has been sending text messages to a friend of mine, claiming that the can resolve his issues with his PayPal account. Although I called him up a few times on Sunday, our conversations were brief as he quickly realized that I wasn't going to stop talking over him. Mark eventually turned his number off but he ended up losing it after I reported it for fraud.
Typical of scammers, Mark would buy another phone number and proceed to text my friend again. Judging by the image my friend shared with me, my friend received the text at 6:00 AM which means that it was 4:30 PM in India, which is where Mark is. Our conversations were once again brief as Mark did everything he could to get rid of me. Even going as far as to claim that he was the "IRS Hospital"
The real kicker to this story is that this time, Mark was sharing his number with a friend of his in the form of "Thomas". Once Mark couldn't tolerate me anymore, he took his headsets off and passed them to Thomas. This worked in my favor as Thomas was far thirstier than Mark but to the point where it cost him 7 minutes of frustration. Thomas, like many Indian scammers, do not understand what "11 t 7" is..... I don't know why. Thomas instead thought it was saying 11 57. This went on and on as Thomas desperately tried to get me to spell out my email address. Bear in mind, Thomas understood "Team Furret" but could not comprehend what "11 t 7" was.
The call with Thomas actually came after the series of calls with Mark. I decided to place the call with Thomas first since it is longer and the amount of times I was told told me to "listen" was much higher than that of Mark's count. The 2 of them would eventually ditch their number after they realized that I was not going to stop calling them though out the day.
I await out next series of call together with much anticipation...
