Singing scientific theories (1): The Second Event Theory. This version of the Wombles song (a BBC childrens programme, the Wombles of Wimbledon Common) was written by Richard Bramhall in 1994. He obtained permission from Mike Batt who wrote the song and it was sung first at the Trawsfynydd chain up in 1994. This is the first time it has been released on the net.

OPCS is the Office of Population Census and Surveys, which collected cancer data at the time this was written
Second Event; This is Busby's Second Event Theory which argues that sequentially decaying radionuclides like Strontium-90 which beta decays to Yttrium-90 which then further beta decays can intercept and bypass the cell repair mechanism. This means that Sr-90 is much more dangerous than currently modelled. There is evidence for this from various published experiments and the increases in cancer in Wales.
