War Thunder - ZTZ96 - The Chinese T-72
The ZTZ96 is a 9.3 MBT in the Chinese tech tree. This vehicle is very similar to the early T-72s such as the T-72A and T-72M1. The ZTZ96 is based on the Type 59 hull and is heavily modified with new composite armor on the hull front and an upgraded engine. It carries a 125mm Type 88C cannon firing the 125-I shell which is practically identical to the 125mm 2A46M gun found on the T-72s. This vehicle is also autoloaded with a reload rate of 7.1 seconds (identical to its Soviet counterparts) and comes with a laser range finder. Unfortunately it does not have thermal imagers which makes it struggle in up tiers but nonetheless it is a good vehicle. The armor of the ZTZ96 does not really hold up against anything unless in a downtier and even then only the UFP will stop shells. The vehicle is much faster then some of the later models and can see a much lower BR making it a pretty decent vehicle to flank with. I absolutely love playing this tank mainly for the challenge it gives. The ZTZ96A is better in everyway but the ZTZ96 just offers that little bit of a challenge that makes the game fun to play.
