Memorial Day 2023: 21 Gun-Salute @ John Paul Jones Park
The Annual Bay Ridge Memorial Day Parade ends at John Paul Jones Park outside of the US Army Fort Hamilton Garrison base. This location is also known as "Cannonball Park" by the residents. Assorted speeches and ceremonies to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation included a 21 gun-salute by the Veteran Corps of Artillery. They are New York States oldest military organization that dates back to the American Revolution.
