In this video, I'll show you how I fix the "error: failed to commit transaction ( conflicting files )" error when updating Arch Linux with pacman.

Sometimes, pacman won't let you update packages due to a package conflict. It tells you that the file "exists in filesystem".

If you run into this issue, just ignore the package(s) when you use the "sudo pacman -Syu" command, then force the update afterwards in a second step.

In this video, I use the ttf-dejavu package as the example, but you can apply this method anytime you run into the error.
